The RFIDba may have any number of committees other then those outlined below. Membership in these committees may be comprised of RFID Industry members, Associate members along with educators and government people.

Each Vertical Industry committee will consist of several chairpersons to include: a member(s) of the RFID industry, a representative(s) of the specific industry as an end user, possibly an educator, and possibly a standards person. Additional members will be brought into the respective committee by the chairperson(s).

The Chairperson(s) will set the agenda for each committee and set a time to meet in person or via the Internet. The committees findings/results/recommendation will be presented to the association's executive committee which will then discuss/edit/approve and publish the results to all members and the general public where necessary.

The RFIDba committees are organized into the following groups:

- Vertical Markets Committees (VMC)
- Product Technology Committees (PTC)
- Special Interest Committees (SIC)
- RFIDba Committees (RFC
